Steve Vai's Ibanez Jem 505 Prototype "Carmen"

Literally the morning I was supposed to drive about 3 hours away with more cash than I’d ever seen in my life to pay for and pick up my burst, this sucker popped up online and what can you do when one of Steve’s played and toured guitars pops up (at a reasonable price back then). I ate ramen noodles for a bit but I got both that weekend.

This was Steve’s prototype for the 505 line. I have all the details in the case but from memory it has prototype pickups and some other odd things, and was toured when Steve was with Joe Jackson (not sure who that is). The case is beat but the guitar is in pretty nice shape.
