Ibanez Universe UV77MC ATD

Back in the Jemsite days when I had just a single UVMC ATD, someone posted this guitar since he had just purchased it. I sent him a PM saying “if you ever decide to sell her, I’d like to buy her.” Probably about a year later the owner reached out and a deal was struck. Nice guy. Fast forward a few years and the same owner calls me because I had purchased a GMC he was interested in before he saw it. He offered me substantially more than I paid to flip her over to him, but I told him I didn’t need the money. Fun conversation again – very nice guy. We agreed to keep in touch.

Would you believe that now 20 years later this “nice guy” is one of my best friends AND he is the world-famous owner of Bonvillain Design Studios? The BON in the PIABON – that’s David. David is a genius, the hardest working person I’ve ever met, and an absolute saint of a person. Only a couple people have changed the direction of my collection and David is certainly the most impactful. I can probably point to 40 guitars in my collection that I would not own if not for my relationship with him. Thank you for everything, DB.
