When this 2000 era Jackson Custom Shop Firebird popped up online at a pretty high price, I recognized the seller as an old friend and reached out directly for a brother-in-law deal. The funny thing about this very guitar is I passed on it when it was sold new through GMW because the price was way high (at the time). Once Gibson’s cease and desist order came in on Firebirds and Jackson stopped production, it was nearly impossible to find one for sale. Twenty years later I own the one I should have bought in 2000. My buddy Kyle delivered this guitar in dead mint condition and I’m very happy to own her now. Check out that quilt top!
